PRGF: Platelet Rich Growth Factors
PRP is a technique which permits the extraction of the platelet growth factors (proteins) present in the blood of the patient him or herself and using them in the form of mesotherapy to strengthen, accelerate and stimulate the regeneration of tissues.
By so doing there is an attenuation of wrinkles and an increase in the thickness and the smoothness of the skin, achieving a more youthful appearance.
It is carried out with topical anaesthetic on the skin with an anaesthetic cream.
In the laboratory a small sample of blood is extracted from the patient, 30 minutes prior to the infiltration session, and it is centrifuged there and then to separate out the plasmatic fractions. To follow, the patient goes through to the consulting rooms to undergo facial mesotherapy treatment with the platelets. It tends to be performed on the face, cleavage, neck and back of the hands to stimulate their regeneration. Once the treatment has finished patients can immediately return to their normal everyday activities.
It will depend on the degree of aging of each patient, but as a general rule 2-3 sessions tend to be necessary, together with one annual maintenance session.
For each session you will need to spend approximately one hour in the Consulting Rooms.
The results are noticeable after 24 hours, are progressive and with each session the reduction of wrinkles and increase in the smoothness of the skin becomes increasingly evident.
It is a treatment than can be applied from the age of 35 onwards, for preventive purposes, to slow down the aging process and from the age of 45 onwards for regenerative and corrective purposes.
